Near Boca De Iguanas

One minute walk to the beach

swim, boogie board, and snorkel

The gentle waves at Playa Boca de Iguanas are ideal for swimming, surfing, boogie boarding, and snorkeling. However, there is an undertow, so be careful. 

Food

There are several restaurants near Boca de Iguanas that serve fresh seafood and Mexican cuisine, including Mariscos de Cisneros, Alberca and Restaurante 30 

Walk the Trail

 There is a 6-mile out-and-back trail near La Huerta, Jalisco that takes about 1 hour and 48 minutes to complete. 

Visit Playa Tenacatita

Playa Tenacatita has clear snorkeling waters and a large mangrove lagoon that's good for bird-watching.

Crocodile Sanctuary

The Sanctuary has 500 American crocodiles, the biggest population on the Jalisco coast. Young crocs are protected in a nursery. The boardwalk brings you within a few meters of crocodiles of all sizes. Last we heard, visitors are allowed to feed the Crocs here. 

Water Sports

La Manzanilla offers water sports including  Stand Up Paddle, boggie boarding, fishing, snorkeling the rock outcrop at the south end of the bay

Visit a coffee plantation

Enjoy a day trip to Cuzalapa, inside the Sierra de Manantlán Biosphere Reserve, to witness the production of the tastiest coffee in the region. This shade grown coffee is produced by a group of local indigenous women who have lived and worked in the Cuzalapa area over generations, and in 2001 formed a cooperative to produce and sell handicrafts, coffee and fruit based products typical of the area .
